Top Ten Reason to visit Acapulco…

Forever Acapulco
The Hotels
Acapulco will always be Acapulco. That´s because this lovely legendary port- once a favorite spot for pirates eager to plunder the fine merchandise brought from China aboard a ship known as the Nao has everything you could want for the best vacation ever, a perfect climate all year around; beautiful views where two bays, two lagoons, green mountains and an incomparable sunset compete for your attention in shades of pink, red and gold. Plus almost ten kilometers /6.2 miles) of warm-water beaches where you can enjoy your favorite water sports. It also has one of the best hotel infrastructures in the world: restaurants and amusement parks; shops and boutiques; an endless amount of nightlife, plus the most advanced technology for holding all kinds of events, whether artistic or trade and business-related.

To make you feel at home - or even better - there are dozens of hotels to choose from, according to your preferences and needs. On the Costera Miguel Aleman, which runs alongside the ocean, tall buildings are predominant. Besides offerings immediate access to the beach, they provide a panoramic view of the bay.
Villas, also quite common in this resort, have been planned to provide guests with views of lush tropical gardens and a greater degree of privacy.
There are also hotels and suites for those who prefer to be near the center of town, and deluxe facilities in the new Punta Diamante development which, although a bit removed from the heart of Acapulco, excels in providing distinctive and exclusive service.

Acapulco By Day

Acapulco by Night
Even though it is an ideal place to relax and soak up the sun on the beach, the bay is filled with activity all day long.
You can spend the morning deciding whether to swim at one of the more popular beaches, or to get a tan while you water ski or jet ski, or to go deep-sea fishing just beyond the bay or to enjoy the panoramic view from one of Acapulco´s traditional parachute rides.
If you prefer your activities on firm ground, the city has five excellent golf courses and over 50 tennis courts It is also worthwhile to plan a visit to nearby places such as Barra Vieja, the Coyuca Lagoon, and Pie de la Cuesta which is famous for its sunsets.

If it´s filled with activity by day, by night Acapulco is just as restless. Nightlife always begins around midnight, when the city´s main streets which have been lit up for hours by the marquees- begin to fill up with people set on having a good time. Night sounds mingle with the different kinds of music escaping from the bars and restaurants. No matter what you preferences may be, you can find a romantic bar with live music, or see an internationally famous show, or dive into the dizzying laser beams and colored lights where couples dance.stop. Typical of Acapulco are the "Fiestas Mexicanas" with regional specialties and Mariachi music.

Acapulco´s Beaches

Acapulco has a number of attractions relating to the port´s history, culture and traditions.

One of these is the Fort of San Diego, built in 1615 to defend the city from pirates; today it houses a history museum. The Cathedral, which is dedicated to Our Lady of Solitude, has a Moorish-style dome and Byzantine towers.

The enormous cross which can be seen from almost everywhere belongs to the Capilla Ecumenica de la Paz (Ecumenical Chapel of Peace), a church located in the Las Brisas housing development. Finally, to end the day, there´s nothing quite like watching the divers of La Quebrada who plunge 40 meters into a narrow sea inlet with shallow waters.

No doubt the magic of Acapulco begins with its beaches, which are ideal for water sports: skiing, windsurfing, jet skis, sailing and the ever-popular parachute rides. From East to West, take a ride along the bay and its environs. Caleta is a small beach with calm waters and powdery sand, the most popular beach among Acapulco locals. Near the docks is an ideal beach for spending an afternoon: Hornos with a wide strech of white sand and calm surf. Condesa is the favorite beach for tourists and the most fun. Another beach with moderate waves is Icacos, located near the Naval Base. For those who prefer the open sea and tall waves for surfing there´s Revolcadero. Whether you prefer mild or heavy surf, much visited or practically hidden, Acapulco begins with its beaches.

Acapulco for Kids
Business in Acapulco
Mexico´s most famous seaport resort is also for kids. Besides the countless beach activities and games, a special world of entertainment has been designed for them : Cici is the most-visited aquatic park here. Featuring all the games that imagination and water can create, kids (and kids-at-heart) can go from a toboggan ride into the artificially generated surf, and even experience the incomporable thrill of swimming with the dolphins. At Parque Papagayo (Papagayo Park) the games have been designed to the visitors' skill. Roller Gran Prix is the "in" place to skate and drive Go-Karts. And Magico Mundo Marino is a combination aquarium/beach club where youngsters and adults can watch a Sea-lion show and see how piranhas and sharks are fed.

No matter how large or small your convention or meeting is, or how important, Acapulco has everything to serve you royally, Most large hotels have luxurious venues of all different sizes, appropriate for conferences, congress, banquets and even cultural events. All can provide additional services such as computer rentals, telephone lines, office equipment and any other backup equipment you may require. However, if the event is a very large one and attendance is in the hundreds or thousands, Acapulco´s International Convention Center provides and enormous complex made up of five architecturally striking buildings which intercommunicate with each other through elegant plazas and walkways, surrounded by extensive tropical gardens.
