Description:
In the north portion of the peninsula, the State of Yucatan
has 38,402 km2 of surface in Mexico with a population of
approximately 1'658,210 inhabitants.
In Yucatan narrate that when arrived the
Spanish to the peninsula, the natives upon listening them
to speak were saying “Nati Mati UHUUTHAAN”,
that means "Hears as speak". Is believed that
from there originate the name of Yucatan.
Yucatan, land of the Mayab, constitutes
a great attractive for the tourism, not alone by its large
natural attractions, its colonial jewels, its prodigious
monuments that give testimony of the brilliance of the Mayan
culture, but also by its white beaches and fine sand.

has two types of climate, the warm sub wet that encompasses
90% of its territory, where the pluvial rainfall and the
hosiery temperatures are of 1,150 mm and 26 º C. And
the warm semi dry, with smaller pluvial rainfall and that
corresponds to the band coastal, in the north of the state. |
