THE
SPECTACULAR CLIFFDIVERS SHOW
(A show that has made Acapulco famous all over the world)
At
the beginning of the thirties the natives of the Acapulco suburbs
near by ¨La Quebrada¨, after fishing, diving and swimming
in the canal (known today as the cliffdivers canal) started as
in a brotherhood challenge among the bravest, to dive for the
visitors, who where attracted by the young brave boys. Therefore
in 1934 began the spectacular show of the high cliffdivers of
la quebrada, which you can admire from the el mirador hotel´s
restaurant & bars.
SHOW
SCHEDULES:
Everyday
and all year round this spectacular show is presented as a tourist
attraction, from a height of 25 and 39 meters.
You
will see the divers going down the stairs holding a flaming torch
and then they will swin across the canal of about four meters
width, after that they wil start the dangeours climbing up the
hill, rock by rock until the top from where they will their spectacular
dive.
