Modern Mexico

In December 1st. 1934, Lazaro Cardenas became President of Mexico. He promissed that during his presidency, he would do good to some of the promisses of the Revolution. His biggest concern was that of the farmers. Therefore, during his period, large pieces of land were taken over by the government and given to laborers, "ejidos" (community land) were created, and more funds were assigned to help farmers and their needs. Also, he created more schools -particularly rural ones- and supported technical schools.
