At
the moment the Convention Centre Puerto Vallarta is in construction
as we speak, and doors are expected to be opened in December
2007.
Expectations
are high, and it will most likely become one of the most complete
ones of the country. It will have magnificent facilities and
is situated in a pleasant natural environment which converts
it into the perfect choice to have cultural-, social- and
business events at a national or international level. The
total surface of the project is about 50.000m².
The
Convention Centre is built on a surface of 13 hectares, and
is home to different facilities: 4,522 m² for expositions,
9 rooms for events with a capacity varying from 10 to 1600
persons. In the building you will also find the ´Cuale´
Theater, the interactive library, an investigation center
for the ecologic reservation of ´el estero´, the
expo center, streets and plazas. All this is surrounded by
70,000m² of mangrove swamps, all part of ´el estero
el Salado´.
Location
Its
excellent location makes it the best option for locals and
visitors, given that the building is located strategically
for an easy accessibility and close to important places in
Puerto Vallarta. It is located just 5 minutes from the Hotel
Zone, 5 minutes from the International Airport ´Gustavo
Díaz Ordaz´ and 20 minutes from the centre of
the city.
Installations
The
center is designed to offer all the needs for a convention,
like the Expocenter, the five rooms, rooms for business meetings,
theater, the investigation center, cafeteria, the cultural
shop, the education center, culture workshop or exposition,
all provided with advanced technology, services and elegant
facilities to give your events that special touch.
Expo
Center |
The
expo center will have magnificent facilities like a
big lobby, the ideal place for the realization of artistic
expositions and register areas. On the second floor
will be 4 VIP rooms with the necessary services in order
to function as offices for congress visitors and/or
exhibitors, which will allow them to coordinate their
events in a flawless way.
There
will also be a conference room which can be divided
in four separate rooms with a capacity of 90 persons
per room. In the upper part will be a parking with space
for 600 cars.

elegantly decorated and carpeted room of 1,045 m²,
will have the possibility to be transformed into 7 separate
sections. There will be three emergency exists, two entrance
doors and two doors for the access of equipment (both
2 m wide and 2,25 m high).

This
broad space with a capacity for 1339 persons could be
the scenery for inauguration ceremonies, artistic events
like theater pieces and cultural expositions and much
more.

theater has a lobby, a stage, projection and lighting,
audio, dressing rooms, an administration office, area
to load and discharge, a bar and toilets.

The
library of the convention center will have more than
100.000 books, 7500 news paper publications, and 450
online data bases, an internet room, rooms for group
work, an informal reading salon and a digital library.
Information
classes are being offered for acquisition and transmission
of human, scientific and technological knowledge, but
also for your entertainment.

Center |
The
ecologic center is a proof that the development and
the conservation of the environment are not two separate
things.

carefully and harmonious with nature, ´el estero
