La
Sierra Madre thinly populated and has few villages. As a result,
the animals and the plants can grow in an environment free
of human intervention. This will allow you to discover a true
natural paradise! La Sierra Madre is filled with unknown paths,
waterfalls and villages that are worth paying a visit to.
Many sites are only accessible walking or by horse. It is
the perfect place for an adventure!
The
fauna of la Sierra Madre offers you an extensive diversity
of animals. You will see a large number of colourful butterflies,
many iguanas (they are a bit shy, but with some luck you might
be able to see some) and it is a paradise for parrot lovers,
since there are more then 320 species. The waterfalls are
an important water spring for the wildlife; many animals come
there to freshen up. On a good day you will see monkeys and
turtles. The vegetation is unique thanks to the tropical climate.
The jungle contains a lot of life, and you can discover a
large diversity of special plants and trees like palm trees,
orchids and buganvilias. Visiting the jungle is an obligation
when you are in Puerto Vallarta!
