town of Tequila is located about 58 kilometers west of Guadalajara.
Many of the 30 or so tequila distilleries in and around Tequila
offer factory tours. When going on a tour you will get to
know the lava fields of the volcano Ceboruco, ruins, agave
plantations, haciendas, tequila distilleries and much more.
Some
people say tequila is ´the water of life´. The
name was born in the same region as it was produced. Miles
and miles of blue agave plants and the tequila salesmen on
the streets give you the feeling of having visited the tequila
village.
