A secluded resort for adults only. Built on 280 acres of unspoiled tropical jungle and coconut plantation, facing one of the most striking coral reefs in the world. Spread among thousands of palm trees, there are several two-story buildings, many with private Jacuzzi, ocean view, extra large terraces with a hammock and bright Mexican colors.

Accommodations
177 Junior Suites in 3 categories. Garden View Junior Suites: All with beautiful garden or coconut palm tree views. Ocean View Junior Suites: All have unobstructed or indirect views of the Caribbean. Jacuzzi Junior Suites: All with direct access to a beautiful beach and great views of the Caribbean, one Jacuzzi for 2 persons, either on the balcony or inside the unit. All accommodations include; Mexican decoration, air conditioning, ceiling fan, king size or double bed, marble or Mexican tile floors, private bath, shower, color satellite TV, terrace with a hammock, small table with 2 chairs, sofa in the living room area and amenity kit.
Non- Smoking Rooms: We have reserved 2 full villas for our non-smoking guests.
Dinning Bars and Entertainment
Restaurante La Carreta: Mexican Cuisine. Open from 6.30PM for dinner a la carte. Reservations required. Dress code in effect.
Restaurante Los Arrecifes: International Cuisine. Features a la carte breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus a variety of Mexican Snacks.
Restaurante La Fontana: Italian Cuisine. Open from 6.30PM for dinner a la carte. Reservations required. Dress code in effect.
Bar Las Guacamayas: Bar with swings. Located next to Los Arrecifes serving your favorite cocktails with tropical music under palapas. Open from 10AM to 10PM.
Bar Arrecifes: Swim up bar. Lively pool bar to enjoy all kinds of drinks. Open from 8.30AM to 10.30PM.
Bar Los Cotorros: Bar with swings. Located at the relaxing pool across from the SPA. Open from10AM to 1AM.
Disco -Bar Constelaciones: Huge palapa where guests enjoy entertaining activities and music for dancing.
Recreation Activities, Guest Services and Amenities
Swimming pools: Guests enjoy two large pools. The relaxing heated pool is next to Los Cotorros Bar and the Spa building. The south pool is next to Los Arrecifes.
El Dorado Spa: A two-story building located next to the north pool. It features a fitness center, sauna and steam rooms, showers, massage center, bathrooms and beauty parlor, a large outdoor Jacuzzi and an array of health, beauty and body treatments for the mind and the soul.
Animation & Sports: a team of hosts entertains Guests during the day and night.
Bicycles: Guests can ride the bicycles we provide around the property.
Water Sports: We feature a small marina located on the south beach. In addition to paddleboats, kayaks and snorkel gear, guests enjoy a variety of optional tours to enjoy the Caribbean, underground cenotes, scuba diving, small game and deep-sea fishing.
Tennis Court: To enjoy unlimited daytime tennis. Rackets and balls provided free of charge.
Car Rental: We feature Ford Contours & Club Wagons with chauffeurs at competitive prices that guests may hire for hours or full days to tour the Mayan World at their leisure. We also feature National Car Rental.
Tour Desk: Located near the lobby for a variety of sightseeing throughout the Mayan World.
Laundry & Dry Cleaning: Service provided by a local supplier in Playa Del Carmen.
Gift Shop & Sundries: Small variety stores located near the lobby and the north pool.
El Dorado Logo Shop: Small logo shop where guests may purchase El Dorado mementos.
Safe Deposit Boxes: located at the front desk and free of charge for guests.
