Mandarin Oriental Riviera Maya, Mexico will be an exotic delight.
Our newest
hideaway resort is situated 30 minutes south of Cancun International
Airport and 10 minutes north of Playa Del Carmen. It is set among
36 acres of tropical forests and milky white sands lapped by the
cerulean blue Caribbean Sea. As ever we have designed a fabulous
enclave of luxury while retaining a distinctive feel for the setting.
Guests of
all 128 luxurious rooms enjoy the calming sight of clear waters,
be it the sea, turquoise tributaries or the mysterious depths
of the Cenote. The Cenote itself is a central feature; a remarkable
freshwater lake, sacred to the Mayan next to which we have located
our 25,000 square foot spa with treatments drawing on ancient
Oriental and Mayan traditions.
Mangrove reserves
have been incorporated into the landscape. Nesting turtles are
protected on the Caribbean shore. Specially commissioned pieces
by Mexican artists are exhibited on art courtyards among the Selva

Our
Rooms
Our resort
is designed as a series of two-storey and bungalow style villas,
incorporating one or two guestrooms and set along winding paths
and waterways. Guests will be escorted to their rooms by golf
cart or water taxi. All our rooms offer the calming sight of water;
either across the Cenote, a uniquely spiritual scene; the tranquil
lagoons and tributaries or the blue azure of the Caribbean Sea.
Our traditionally
Asian influence and Mexican accents ensures the rooms have a spacious,
airy atmosphere; the bamboo flooring and natural furnishings give
a tropical feel.
The decoration
of the rooms is inspired by the locality with rainforest showers,
outdoor stone bathtubs and white courtyards. Throughout we’ve
used native exotic woods and indigenous stone and highly reputed
Mexican artists have been specially commissioned to create a gallery
of unique pieces, incorporating natural elements from the area.
Twenty rooms
are situated adjacent to the spa for those who seek an entirely
holistic experience. Our professional wellness team offers a seductive
range of therapies from Ayurvedic to Maya, which can be taken
in the spa or in your room.
Our Grand
Selva Suites and Beach Casitas have private pools, while our Presidential
Villa has private service; offering a personal butler and chef.
This space is over 3,500 square feet of consummate luxury with
private pools. Guests step out right onto the soft shore sands;
Caribbean breezes refresh every room.

as more intimate boardrooms. A 2,021 square foot (188 square meter)
ballroom is an excellent conference venue equipped with the latest
technology and advanced presentation facilities. Catering and
business back up are provided by our reliable Mandarin Oriental
staff.

relax. Our Spa offers tailored therapies, which are excellent
